Dissapearing Ponds

The high Mojave desert of California was once a thriving pit-stop for migrating ducks. Over the last decade, private ponds have been drying out as agriculture has moved, golf course ponds have dried up as the water expenses increase, and now there are fewer water holes than ever. As a result, smaller numbers of waterfowl migrate through the area, drawing away other animal life and many predatory species as well.
